Fibromyalgia, Chronic Neck & Back Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

From QEI graduate Jenny Pederson, QEST Practitioner:

Jenny Pederson, QEST Practitioner, Newcastle, WY

X.X. Teacher, mid 50's

Presenting complaints: Constant neck and back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome. Diagnosed with fibromyalgia. She'd had an active job for almost 30 years but had to move to an administrative position because of pain. She refused to take drugs. She was trying to get help holistically although the pain was becoming unbearable. Prior treatments consisted of massage, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, and nutritional changes (such as eliminating wheat and looking at body pH). Weekly massage therapy seemed to help the most although she 'd have worse pain for days, then relief for a day or two, only to have return of pain.

Plan of action: Work in order through the QEST Handbook with some out of order procedures for quick relief for her neck pain and carpal tunnel symptoms.

QEST: My client expressed relief after the first session from the foundational QEST work. On the second visit as I progressed in order, I worked with old injuries in her neck and advised that she might experience some dull achy pain as the energy was drawn there for healing. She reported significant relief after this visit although she was very sore for a few days. We worked in order with some added circulatory procedures for her wrist and hand that helped significantly. She came regularly until we finished going through the book and we're now focused on additional work. She has significant relief in her neck and shoulders and understands the importance of getting maintenance work. Her wrist pain is significantly better and she attributes her fibromyalgia relief to QEST.

ALSO: She invited me to do a presentation to her professional group to share about QEST. Three people from that group have called for appointments.
